Ride Vouchers are $25.00 each and are available now for prchase at most K-Street meetings, among others.
Meet us at 11 AM to buy your ride vouchers between the Marriott Long Wharf and the N.E. Aquarium. Here's the boat schedule.

OK - Pride Committee just came out with the parade formation list! We're the 41st group of 129. We are meeting Between the Upton Street Crosswalk and Dartmouth. Someone will be there aound 10 a.m. - the parade starts at NOON.
Join us Saturday June 14, 2008 marching in the Pride Parade, then head over to the Sober & Proud Tea Dance at the Midtown Hotel at 220 Huntington Ave. (Symphony stop on the Green Line) from 4-7 PM.
Marching is free, the Tea Dance is $15.00 - $12.00 for K-Street Members. Download a flyer, or contact Dave B. for more info. We will post the exact location for meeting at the beginning of the parade when the Pride Committee tells us.
K-STREET'S REVIVAL NEW YEAR BALL!
K-Street Facility Committee is holding a fund raising event Saturday, December 29, 2007 - at 15 Newbury Street.
The night will kick off with a meeting from 8-9 PM, followed by dancing untill 12:30. Music will be provided by DJ Kristin Korpos. K-Street members receive $1 off the $10 ticket price.

Time to Give Thanks!
It's time again for the annual Thanksgiving day Pot-Luck Feast at K-Street. This is a relaxing open house afternoon — from 12-6 — filled with good food and sober company. Bring something to share if you can, and don't worry if you can't — there's always plenty for everyone. You'll find a sign-up sheet on the wall at K-Street if you want to know what others are planning to bring.
There will also be board games and movies to watch, so stop by! It's a great way to stay clean and sober with people who really understand how hard the holidays can be.

Semi-Annual Elections Held
The semi-annual elections for Executive Board officers were held on June 24 2007. Here are the results:
Paul Brown was re-ellected as the Treasurer.
Bobby Bernache was re-ellected as the Fund-Raising Manager.
John Doucette was elected to one of the At-Large positions.

Spectical Island trip FUNdraiser - June 10

K-St Facility Committee Elections
The semi-annual elections for the K-St. Facility Committee were held on Saturday December 9, 2006.
John Guidetti was elected the new Chairperson. Chuck Conley aggreed to another term as Secretary, and David Donchek volunteered once again to fill the position of Facility Manager.
Why not take a moment to thank these folks for volunteering their time and expertise to help the GLBT reovery community.

NEW MEETING... Nicotine Anonymous!
Starting Saturday July 1, 2006 a new meeting of Nicotine Anonymous - No If's And's or Butts - will meet at K-Street from 10:30 -11:30 A.M.
Based on the same 12 steps and traditions as AA we think it will be a valuable addition to the other meetings here. The only requirement is for a DESIRE to quit smoking. It is a speaker discussion meeting. Check it out!

We are happy to announce a new CMA (Crystal Meth Anonymous) meeting has started on Monday evenings - Tweakin' 12 - 7-8:30 p.m.
Sober Cruise & Tea - Dance!
Enjoy a 3 hour Boston harbor cruise aboard the Provencetown II while helping to support K-Street. There will be prizes, dancing, sober friends all on the Boston pride weekend!
The ship departs from the World Trade Center - 200 Seaport Blvd. in south Boston. Conveniently located on the MBTA Sliver Line. Boarding begins at 3:30, Sunday June 12, 2005.
Tickets can be purchased from any K-Street Facility Board member, and are $20. in advance or $25. at the boat.

Success! A New K-St Executive Board Elected
Members of the K-Street corporation attended a semi-annual meeting in February and elected new members of the Executive Board.

Members of the K-Street corporation will be asked to attend a semi-annual meeting in February to elect new members of the Executive Board.
Nominations and elections will be held for all of the positions including two newly created "Memeber at Large" positions.

2nd Annual Pride Day Fundraiser — An Incredible Success!
K-Street's 2nd annual fund raising dinner at the Boston Living Center, more than doubled the money it raised last year! Thanks in part to two generous donors from the GLBT recovery community the event raised more than $3,000.00! Also thanks go out to all that bought tickets and to those who volunteered their time, efforts and goods to the event. It was a relaxing and fun way to end a beautiful pride day. The food was delicious.. the fellowship even better!
Sobriety! Something to be Proud of!
For the first time in many years a Sober & Proud contingent marched in the Pride Parade, thanks to sponsorship by the KSFC and individual contributions toward the registration fee. It was a picture-perfect day and the support from the crowd was incredibly rewarding. Plans are already under way for next year so let us know if you want to be involved. Let's hope this is one tradition that won't fall by the way side again.
3 New Meetings!
Starting Sunday May 2, 2004 there will be a new meeting at 8 p.m. Positively Sober is a meeting for people living with HIV and in recovery.
Monday there's a new Narcotics Anonymous meeting. In The one starts at 7 pm.
Also on Thursday night at 6 pm - Double Winners is a meeting for those with a dual-diagnosis.

You can have a sober and fun Pride day! There are at least 3 sober events that we know about.
For the first time in many years there will be a Sober & Proud contingent marching in the Pride Parade! Look for the Sober & Proud banner where the parade is forming in Copley Sq. For more info contact Wayne T. or Dave B.
Also K-St. will be having it's 2nd annual fund raising dinner at the Boston Living Center, 29 Stanhope St., Boston, from 6-8 pm. Tickets are $12. donation. There will be a delicious dinner, sober fellowship and fabulous prizes. Look for ticket sellers at your meetings. Contact the Fundraising Chairperson if you'd like to donate a prize.
Then GayLab, Inc. is sponsoring DryDance from 5 pm - 12 midnight at the Arlington St. Church.
Bunny Hop Dance is a HUGE Success!
Thanks to George P., Joe L., Paul S. and the "Bunny Performers", as well as the countless other volunteers, the Bunny Hop dance held at the Arlington Street Church on April 17th 2004 was a huge success! $1003. was raised and donated to help keep K-Street open for the GLBT recovery community.
Special thanks to Michael M. for his donation of one of his original paintings give as a door prize.
Spring Fundraising Event Meeting — Volunteers Needed!

2nd Annual P-Town Dinner Another Success
A deep and heart-felt thanks goes out to Paul Y. and all the volunteers that helped to make this fund raising dinner a success once again! Paul has made a $1000. donation to help keep K-St open for the GLBT recovery community. This is a powerful example of how one person with a simple idea - and help from some friends - can make a lasting and positive influence.

Mark Stokes was elected the new KSFC Chairperson at the last Committee meeting on Sunday 09/28/03. Mark's background in social work and politics bring impressive credentials to the position.

BLOG-A-THON a 24HR SUCCESS
Saturday, July 25, 2003 Keith K. stayed awake for 24 hours, every half hour updating his web log (blog) to raise money for K-Street. Individuals pledged a per-hour amount toward helping K-Street. He raised almost $300. in pledges before the event - but they're still coming in! If you would like to contribute, send a check or money order in to our Treasurer, making sure you note that it's for the Blog-a-thon. Thanks again Keith for your tireless effort!
PRIDE Dinner a Huge Success!
K-Street's First Annual Pride Dinner fundraising event on June 14 was a huge success thanks to hard work from volunteers and donations from community members. Over $1,800. was raised to help keep K-Street open for the GLBT recovery community. Special thanks too to The Boston Living Center and its staff for hosting our event free of charge. Happy Pride to all!
Nominations/Election of new Secretary
The K-Street Facilities Committee will be electing a new Secretary at the April 27th meeting (at 4 pm). The responsibilities include recording the minutes of the monthly committee meetings, typing and mailing business letters, maintaining mailing and phone lists as well as other record keeping. If you're interested you may contact one of the Facility Committee members for more information or simply attend the meeting on April 27, 2003.
Spring Daffodil Fundraiser!
March 4 - 9, 2003 Thank you to all that purchased Daffodils to support K-Street. Your purchases and donations raised $266 (after expenses) to help keep K-Street open and available to the GLBT community. Hats off too to all the volunteers that helped sell the yellow beauties. Painting Party!
Monday, February 17, 2003 - Despite the blizzard that dumped 27+ inches of snow on Boston, the painting party went on as planned! Special thanks to Marcus P., Michael M., John G., Marc S., Dave B. and Joe S. for contributing their time and efforts. Although there's still work to be done a great start has been made with a fabulous new color! Stay tuned for continued improvements to our meeting hall. As always, donations of time and/or materials would be deeply appreciated.
Provincetown Round-Up Party Kicks Off “Season of Gratitude” Fundraising Campaign
In case you hadn’t heard, our Ptown party for K-Street was a smash, raising over $1,250. John C. and Rob J., done up in their best tight black leather, raised nearly $400 selling 50/50 raffle tickets to a crowd that surely numbered over 100. an additional $1,200 was raised through a door cover and from donations. Paul Y. deserves a huge thank you for his achievement in organizing, shopping for, cooking and serving a delicious meal to a huge turn out. At one point, when he raised concerns about the food running out, someone said, “ Don’t worry, it's like the loaves and fishes...”, and it was. Deepest graditudes to Paul, John, Rob, John F., Shawn, Earl, Steve, and Miles.
Dorchester Dinner Soiree for K-Street
Appetizers, soup, salad, a full main course with stuffed chicken, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and creamed onions... and then dessert, homemade, mile-high german chocolate cake and apple pie. "Somebody has to eat it, " I thought as I reached for the second plate of dessert. The evening could not have been more elegant; candlelight, laughter, magic ! The conversation during dessert was mass hysteria... Sally Field, bestiality, multi-tasking, foreskin, Katherine the Great - need I say more? Hats off to Paul and Bob for a swell affair, raising $430 for K-Street.
